Growing up deaf in a family that ignored her caused Nakyra to embrace the silence. Then he comes into the picture, and her whole world is suddenly flipped upside down. No matter how forbidden he might be, she can't seem to ignore the feelings forming for him. Everything she thought she knew is suddenly being tested and leaves her conflicted.
Nakyra's now torn between staying committed or facing new possibilities.

As always Big Tay( as I call her lol) never disappoints!! This book was amazing!! From the forbidden love to the kink exploration to the disability representation I loved it all!! This story showed that sometimes you can’t help who you fall in love with and when it’s meant to be nothing can stop it! My heart went out to Nakyra! She just wanted to be loved genuinely and for someone to see her for her! She thought she had that with her fiancé but when someone else comes and shakes things up…baby!! I was here for it! Creed showed up and showed out. I love a lover man! Baby take care of me in every aspect and show me what I been missing! Although how they got together some may deem as wrong, it worked for them! I loved the growth Nakyra showed and how she came into her own!

I really enjoyed this Story. I love how Tay pushes the envelope to take her writing in different directions. Nakyra just wanted to be loved and accepted the way she is. Rome is a Yes man to his parents, he was spoiled and selfish. Creed is considered the Black Sheep of his family and really doesn’t care. Tragedy brings Creed and Nakyra together and he makes her realize that she is capable of being loved properly. I loved the chemistry between them and the slow burn. I loved how it written and the research Tay put into writing this Story. Great Job Tay Mo’Nae👏🏾

What I loved most about Hear My Heart is its exploration of intimacy in building relationships, whether platonic or romantic. Creed and Nakyra’s journey from genuine friends to something more was beautifully portrayed, showing that when people truly care about you, they’ll hold space for you in every capacity.

Loverboy Creed was everything. He’s living proof that kids can grow up in the same house and come out completely different. Whew! I needed Creed to confront his parents a bit more, but I understand his restraint—especially since there was no redemption arc for them.
